"I appreciate your willingness to educate me about your products. I really would like to use them more often, as I feel much better about a whole food flavonoid source than a capsule source. It is the antioxidant of choice that I recommend to all my patients without a fruit intolerance.”
Case #1: "I’ve had a painful left knee for a very long time. It is unknown low grade inflammation that was temporarily helped by bromelain, etc, but always there. With regular VerryBerry intake, it is virtually gone.”

Dr. Narendra Singh (Research Assistant Professor, Department of Bioengineering,
University of Washington, Seattle, WA.) has stated that although these are
just preliminary results, his impression is that the dragon's blood is highly
toxic to one or more white blood cell types and the cocona root shows very
slight protective effect. This is a study done on crude extracts which is considered
poor quality science, but we are preceding to the next step of isolation of
active constituents in pure form, characterization and genotoxicity as well
as protective effects evaluation.
Dragon blood (pH 5.5) and Cocona Root (pH 5) extracts were filtered using
0.22 micron pore size low protein binding filters. Filterates of these plant
products at concentrations of 0.1, 0.2, and 0.4 microliters per ml of culture
were added to fresh heparinized blood mixed with complete RPMI 1640. Leukocytes
were counted at the beginning of experiments and cells were incubated for 24
hours at 37 degrees C in a 5% C)2 atmosphere and 100% humidity. Leukocytes
in each sample were counted at the end of 24 hour incubation and percent of
cell loss (of control) was calculated.
CONCLUSION: There is a concentration dependent cell loss in Dragons blood
treated samples while cocona root extract did have slight protective effect
on leukocytes (in 24 hour incubation time, cell count in control culture was
dropped 14% of initial counts of 100% while a drop of 75% and 10% was noted
in samples treated with highest concentrations of Dragon blood and cocona root
extract respectively).
